Beautifully written Pastor. The quest to know one's purpose is the notion of 'teleology' belief in the purposeful development toward an end through "intentionality." A powerful hunger to discover God.

Hi, I'm Rev. Hepsi.

Welcome!

I'm a mother, pastor, and writer. The joy of the Lord is my strength, I like to share this joy with others. The beauty and variety of God's creation, Christian theology, and the meditation of Scripture are my passions.

Scripture refers to the kingdom of God as, treasure hid in a field and the pearl of great price, which a merchant discovered. He proceeds to sell everything to possess the precious pearl. Matthew 13:44,46.  Similarly, I'm a joyful seeker of Christ - writing and speaking on the revelation I have received from the meditation of Scripture, literature, experience, prayer, and communion with the Lord.

We need a vision in life. Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. Proverbs 29: 18. The Hebrew word for “vision” is “revelation.” We normally enjoy second-hand revelation like hearing powerful messages of mighty men and women of God and we definitely need such spiritual nurture to encourage us in our faith journey. However, we also need first-hand revelation, which comes from diligently seeking God and our dependence on him.

I celebrate creativity, solidarity, and the various traditions and multi-cultures within the body of Christ. We are sisters and brothers in the Lord who has called us to unity, fellowship, and good works. God is love. We can see that God is gathering his people from around the world to demonstrate his love across the boundaries of race, class, and nation.  Be it the liturgy of the Anglican church or the prophecies in the Pentecostal church, they fill me with joy and wonder of the Creator and Savior.

I enjoy art and literature through which one can express their love for God; and one another.

A daily meditation of Scripture is a priority, we acquire a sound mind. The practice keeps us spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy. For instance, I enjoy reading the four gospels and the book of Psalms over and over.  It is important to read a whole book and meditate on it in order to receive a revelation from God's Word and not just a few verses.  As we read whole books we gain deep insights into the faith and live according to God's will.  In this way, you can lead a life of victory.  A regular meditation on Scripture renews the mind.

It is for everyone because everyone needs to know and enjoy God. Many years ago, I was on a quest for the purpose of life. When I asked God, What is the meaning of life on earth? The Lord graciously revealed that Life is about God and his eternal purposes on earth.  I became an earnest seeker of God and his purposes. The more you seek the more you find, it's a fascinating journey.  Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33: 3.

Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7.  I'm a seeker of the Living Word.

Prayer is essential in our faith journey. We communicate with God through prayer just as we communicate with our loved ones at home. Whether you are a student, a busy professional, a housewife, or a senior, you will benefit from a solid block of prayer every day.  You can start with 15 minutes and increase it to an hour or even more.  Sing and worship God for who God is.  Our mighty Creator and loving Savior. Take every matter to him in prayer, big or small.  You can tell God everything for God can handle anything!  Enjoy the rest of your day.  Also, rest in the fact that God is in control. The Lord's Prayer is the most powerful even when you don't have any words to pray, just pray through it.

Do take a break from your hectic life to enjoy nature. Go on walks. Observe God's beautiful creation.  As you look at the mountains, the trees, the patterns of leaves, the brilliant hued-blossoms,  the restless waves crashing on rocks,  songs of birds,  and feel the fresh air in your surroundings,  breathe deeply.  You begin to wonder at God's beautiful world around you and find God is everywhere. His fingerprints are seen in the tiniest buds and bugs to the grand mountain ranges in the distance.  We can see that God is good. In the creation account of how God created all things in Scripture we read, God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1: 31. When we perceive the love and goodness of God,  we come to realize we have a great responsibility of being good stewards of the earth.

One of the ways, God speaks to you is through nature. It inspires you to know him.  The psalmist David, depicts it vividly in Psalm 19.  Being conscious of God is a skill that you acquire when you become a seeker,  as we seek more of God, we get to enjoy God's presence which fills us with joy. You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy. Psalm 16:11.

Once we become sensitive to God, we become sensitive to people.  We become compassionate people. We see Jesus in others. The broken, the lonely, ignored, and marginalized. God loves everyone. Not everyone has access to everything.  Everyone does not have the same kind of life or experience.  Everybody is not treated the same way.  We get to understand others and their needs better. We see them as fellow men and women created by an All-knowing God.   God created diversity and loves all of us the same.  There is no partiality with God.  So we learn to see people through God's eyes. Observe the good in people.  We are all created in the image of God.  We are the children of God.  Everyone needs acceptance and respect. God lovingly created us in his image- spirit, soul, and body. Finally, what we do here on earth has eternal significance.

As we become searching individuals we comprehend that we are all different and it is all good. It's for the glory of God who is good.  God calls us to do good works and deeds. Be empathetic.

God created all things beautiful for his good purposes on earth.  We glimpse the Sovereignty of God. We emerge from our self-interest and superficiality.  Our hearts soften towards God and people. Now our hearts are opened for God to begin his work in us.  To be channels of his love and peace in the world. As we seek God more through his Word,  the Spirit of God transforms us and guides us.  Set apart time for God daily making him our first priority.  Thus our spiritual journey progresses with loving God and neighbor.

Until we receive a revelation that God is love, and that God deeply loves us with his perfect love, we will struggle to love others or ourselves correctly.  Once we grasp the love of God in Christ,  we become new, completely renewed. We are filled with God's peace..

It's amazing how we see God's love in everything around us; in nature, in our loved ones, and in people. God created us to live in harmony with one another, and that's why he sent his son, Jesus, in human form to die on the cross. Through his death, we are rescued from eternal death and the control of Satan, which is the ultimate act of love from God.

Thanks to Jesus, who carried our sins, died on the cross, and rose again, humanity has been saved. Satan, our enemy, has been defeated. In Christ, we are victorious, and we can maintain this victory by growing closer to Jesus through prayer and meditation of Scripture. God desires a relationship with his children, and we can find him by seeking him daily..

You will find here words that inspire, comfort, encourage and strengthen you wherever you are in your faith journey.
